Psalm 59:17 (AMP) 17 Unto You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my Defense, my Fortress, and High Tower, the God Who shows me mercy and steadfast love.
When God put this verse on my heart I couldn’t quite get what He wanted me to say.  As I was praying about it, He told me ‘Pray for your brothers and sisters around the world.  Pray that they will wait on My strength…My mercy…My love.’
We here in the ‘western’ world have not yet seen the kind of persecution that Christians elsewhere have seen.  Churches attacked and its members killed, missionaries murdered, people told if they worship Christ they will be imprisoned or killed…these things have not touched us in the United States as they have in other countries.  But spiritually – they already have.  How, you ask?  Because these things are happening to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
We need to pray for those in countries where worshiping Christ is a crime.  We need to stand in the gap for our brothers and sisters in Christ.  We need to remember that with our prayer and fasting…we are affecting the lives of people all over the world.  We need to pray that their strength is renewed, that they wait on the mercy and love of Christ.  That no matter what, they hang on to the hand of our Savior, Jesus.
My prayer is that I never forget what others are going through to worship God…that I never take for granted my freedom to worship the Lord as I please…that my prayers reach the throne of God for those being persecuted.  How about you?
I pray everyone has a GREAT and BLESSED day.     walk 1
