Who’s Going?

Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV) 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?  And who will go for us?”  And I said, “Here am I.  Send me!”
“Here am I.  Send me!”  These are the words our Father in Heaven wants to hear.  But not only does He want to hear them from us, He wants us to put actions behind our words.  Several years ago my Pastor preached a series of messages designed to ‘lift the lid off of our worship’.  These sermons really stirred a longing in my soul for Christ to use me in a new and different way.  I want Him to use me more and more for His kingdom.  But it is easy to listen to a Sunday service and say ‘amen’ and agree with what is being said – but it is harder to put it into action.
Sometimes I have had a difficult time getting ‘up off the couch’ and doing the things I know God wants me to do.  I finally realized that to become who Christ wants me to become I need to take it – not just one day at a time – but one step at a time.  If I want more prayer time in my life – I start with some prayer time everyday.  If it’s more study time – the same thing.  Eventually, what started out as a little, will become much more through Jesus.  And not only will God guide us – step by step – but He will show us how to gain more and more from these wonderful habits.  His Grace will show us the way!
My prayer is that each day I do a little more of what God desires from me…that I can always say ‘Send me’ when God calls…that people around me know I am trying each day to be more like my Jesus.  How about you?
I pray everyone has a GREAT and BLESSED day.
